Which immigration office do foreigners have to go to for address registration?
UPDATE!!! – With the change made on 05.10.2024, you can now register your address by going to any migration office in Istanbul. Example: A person living in Fatih can register their address by making an appointment at Pendik Migration Management.

According to Article 26 of the Law on Foreigners and International Protection and Article 22/12 of the LFIP Implementation Regulation, foreigners are obliged to register their addresses. In this article, we will try to find answers to the following questions; Which immigration office do foreigners have to go to for address registration? Where is the address registration of foreigners done?
The address registrations of foreigners are different from Turkish citizens and foreigners should first visit the immigration administration to which they are affiliated according to their address and register their addresses. If the address that foreigners want to register is full, in this case, foreigners should visit the population directorate(Nüfus Müdürlüğü) after visiting the immigration administration(Göç idaresi).
Do foreigners need to make an appointment with the immigration office for address registration?
-YES , with the amendment made on 24.06.2024, foreign persons are required to make an appointment at https://randevu.goc.gov.tr/#/ for address registration.

SİNCE 24.06.2024, you need to make an appointment when going to the immigration Office (Göç İdaresi). You can no longer go to the Immigration Office without making an appointment with the new system.

ln the same way, if you need to go to the Civil Registry Office (İlçe Nüfus Müdürlüğü) , you must make an appointment. If your address is full, after going to the Immigration Office(Göç İdaresi), they may direct you to the civil registry office (İlçe Nüfus Müdürlüğü) Then, you need to make an appointment when going to the Civil Registry Office (İlçe Nüfus Müdürlüğü).
Note: Foreign persons cannot directly go to the Civil Registry Office (İlçe Nüfus Müdürlüğü) for address registration. They can only go to the Immigration Office (Göç idaresi). After apply the Immigration Office (Göç idaresi) if it is necessery, the office send you Civil Registry Office (İlçe Nüfus Müdürlüğü).
